On October 21, the Suzhou Photovoltaic Module Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Consortium Exchange and SC Solar 2025 Technical Seminar was successfully held at SC Solar’s headquarters in Suzhou. Experts and representatives from government departments, leading enterprises, and academic institutions gathered to explore emerging trends in intelligent manufacturing and discuss pathways for high-quality development of the photovoltaic industry.
New Industry Landscape, Collaborative Advancement
Mr. Cui Zhongmei, Deputy General Manager of SC Solar, presented the progress and achievements of the Suzhou Photovoltaic Module Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Consortium. Led by SC Solar and jointly established with upstream and downstream partners as well as multiple universities, the consortium focuses on smart manufacturing, process innovation, and data-driven technologies. Through coordinated R&D efforts, it has generated a series of research outcomes and application cases with strong demonstration value.
Looking ahead, the consortium will continue to strengthen collaboration among government, industry, academia, and research. It aims to promote the transition from intelligent to unmanned manufacturing, accelerate coordinated innovation across Suzhou’s photovoltaic industry chain, and contribute key technologies that reinforce China’s global leadership in the solar manufacturing sector.
Innovation Empowers the Future
During the event, SC Solar held an appointment ceremony for its new technical advisors—Prof. Liu Xiaojun, Vice Dean of Southeast University, and Prof. Su Xiaodong of Soochow University. Their expertise will support SC Solar in advancing scientific research, technological innovation, and industrial application.
The unveiling of the Graduate Practice Base jointly established by SC Solar and Southeast University marked a new phase of academia-industry collaboration, providing a broader platform for talent cultivation and research commercialization.
In addition, SC Solar signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the East China Branch of the Fifth Institute of Electronics under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The two parties will deepen cooperation in areas such as PV equipment reliability, intelligent manufacturing services, joint laboratory construction, and professional training—jointly building an open, high-level innovation ecosystem.
During the thematic exchange session, experts from universities, research institutes, and enterprises shared insights on frontier PV manufacturing technologies, intelligent applications, and future industry trends. The seminar showcased SC Solar’s commitment to innovation, openness, and collaboration.

On the following day, guests joined the SC Solar team for a visit to GCL Optoelectronics’ Kunshan facility to observe the automated perovskite cell production line supplied by SC Solar. They gained first-hand insight into the line’s innovations in process planning, equipment integration, and digital management—highlighting its strengths in efficiency, flexibility, and intelligence. Visitors highly praised SC Solar’s technological capabilities and comprehensive solutions in perovskite equipment.
In the afternoon, the team-building event “SC Knights, Ride with the Wind” began, bringing together participants in an atmosphere of vitality and unity. The spirit of teamwork and innovation mirrored SC Solar’s 15-year journey—steady, ambitious, and ever advancing.
