SC Solar Shines at SNEC PV+ 2025 in Shanghai

From June 11 to 13, the SNEC PV+ 2025 successfully concluded at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. As one of the world’s largest and most influential photovoltaic (PV) events, SNEC brought together leading companies from across the global PV industry chain, focusing on cutting-edge technologies and driving sustainable innovation in the industry.

At this year’s SNEC, SC Solar presented under the theme “Intelligent Manufacturing for a New Era, Lighting the Future,” with a strong focus on core technologies for high-efficiency cell and module intelligent manufacturing. The company unveiled multiple in-depth solutions for the first time, showcasing technological breakthroughs in perovskite, XBC, module lamination, and smart packaging. Through several days of intensive demonstrations, SC Solar engaged in in-depth discussions with clients and industry experts from around the world, jointly exploring the future of smart PV manufacturing.

  • Perovskite Technology Session

On June 11, SC Solar presented a comprehensive high-efficiency perovskite cell solution, covering core processes from vacuum coating, laser scribing, atomic layer deposition, to automatic encapsulation, supporting the high-efficiency and scalable commercialization of perovskite cells. A highlight was the self-developed evaporation + RPD solution for large-area functional layers, integrating evaporation and RPD equipment with strong process compatibility. It supports multiple cell structures and enables highly intelligent continuous production of large-area modules.

For module encapsulation, SC Solar showcased its automated perovskite module packaging technology. The modular front-end encapsulation system integrates multiple precise application steps—including conductive tape, butyl sealant, and busbars—and dual-glass lamination. It supports various structures such as single-junction, 2T, and 4T modules, offering fast cycle times and high precision. The system establishes a highly automated and standardized pre-encapsulation process for perovskite layers.

  • XBC Wet Processing Technology Session

On June 12, SC Solar presented its comprehensive XBC wet cleaning solution, focusing on key principles such as platform modularity, process automation, and intelligent data control. The system demonstrated the advantages of both chain-type and tank-type equipment platforms in XBC manufacturing.

All equipment adopts a modular and standardized design with high interchangeability and flexible scalability, fully covering critical cleaning steps such as wafer polishing, texturing, and PSG removal. On the technical side, the solution integrates spectrum monitoring, conductivity control, and intelligent scheduling systems to significantly improve cleaning consistency and process stability. Several clean-design innovations were also introduced to further enhance operational performance. The overall solution, built on a “platform + intelligent control” model, balances high throughput and high consistency, enabling stable and efficient XBC processing.

  • Module Packaging Technology Session

SC Solar focused on downstream PV production processes by developing an innovative total solution for module packaging, smart warehousing, and automated loading. Centered on “high integration and flexible adaptation,” this solution accommodates various packaging processes, supports multiple module sizes and logistics needs, and is compatible with different production line layouts and shipping modes.

The fully automatic packaging line emphasizes intelligent and unmanned operation. Equipped with visual recognition and safety inspection systems, it ensures accurate labeling, positioning, and quality control throughout the process. With interlinked data across all equipment, it supports centralized scheduling and remote monitoring, creating a high-efficiency, flexible packaging management system. Meanwhile, the automated loading system, featuring pallet standardization and intelligent stacking strategies, bridges the last mile between packaging and warehouse dispatch, significantly reducing labor input and logistics delays.

  • Module Lamination Technology Session

To meet the increasing demand for high-capacity module production, SC Solar has continuously evolved its lamination technology, taking the lead in launching the Fully Automatic Electromagnetic Heating Multi-layer Laminator. With a multi-chamber design and intelligent control system, the equipment effectively addresses traditional lamination challenges such as slow throughput, large footprint, high energy consumption, and costly maintenance. Each chamber can laminate 24 modules simultaneously, dramatically improving output efficiency per unit area—achieving higher capacity with less space and energy use.

The lamination solution, centered on the multi-layer laminator, also covers key steps such as precision temperature control, rapid vacuuming, liquid cooling, and intelligent material handling. It enables full-process data traceability and automatic recovery from anomalies, delivering enhanced stability for module manufacturing and serving as a key piece of equipment in future smart factories.

As a global benchmark in the PV industry, SNEC is not only a platform for showcasing innovation but also a space for forward-looking insights into industry development. Looking ahead to the next stage of smart PV manufacturing, SC Solar remains committed to independent R&D and collaborative innovation. With a focus on high-efficiency cells and intelligent module production lines, we will accelerate technological breakthroughs and equipment deployment.

Driven by the mission of “Making PV Manufacturing as Easy as Possible,” we will continue to embrace openness and cooperation, working hand-in-hand with global customers and partners to explore the boundless potential of photovoltaic energy in the global energy transition.
