Zwenkau, Germany — German photovoltaic company OPES Solar Mobility has started production at its new factory in Zwenkau, marking the launch of Europe’s first specialized manufacturing base for vehicle-integrated flexible PV modules.
The plant will produce lightweight, flexible solar panels for commercial and recreational vehicles, delivering clean onboard power to extend driving range and enhance energy efficiency.
As the core equipment and technology provider, SC Solar supplied a high-standard, intelligent manufacturing platform that enables efficient, automated production in line with European quality requirements.

In cooperation with Fraunhofer CSP and Fraunhofer ISE, OPES developed the Matrix Architecture module—an innovative design that minimizes shading losses and increases energy yield and long-term reliability.
