SC-Solar Unlocks Full-Process Automation for Module Warehousing and Shipping

As shipment efficiency for photovoltaic modules continues to improve, the loading process has become a critical node in supply chain optimization. With production line takt times accelerating, traditional manual truck loading is increasingly unable to meet requirements in efficiency, stability, and consistency. As a result, the loading process is rapidly evolving toward automation and intelligent solutions.

Leveraging years of automation integration experience, SC-Solar has launched the Auto Truck Loading System, covering two major application scenarios: flatbed trucks and container trucks. The system integrates vehicle identification, spatial measurement, automatic loading, and information verification into one unified platform, enabling standardized and automated operations for module loading and making the shipping process more intelligent, efficient, stable, and controllable.

■ Streamlined Workflow for Efficient Dispatch

The SC-Solar Auto Truck Loading System seamlessly connects with automated warehousing systems. Through AGVs, pallets are automatically transferred from the outbound station to the loading position, enabling a continuous operation mode of “outbound-to-loading.”

Once the vehicle is in position, the system confirms its location via license plate recognition and image capture, while a 3D LiDAR system detects vehicle dimensions, position, and flatness to establish real-time coordinates and complete loading alignment.

Based on this, the system executes module barcode scanning, automatic material handling, and sequential loading according to predefined procedures, until the entire truck is fully loaded and data is fed back into the system. With coordinated operation across all stages, manual intervention is minimized, key links from warehousing to dispatch are streamlined, and overall shipping efficiency is significantly improved.

■ Precise Control for Safe and Reliable Operation

The loading mechanism within the Auto Truck Loading System supports vertical movement, forward/backward adjustment, and fork spacing control, allowing posture correction based on pallet conditions. Combined with 3D LiDAR and servo control, the system enables dynamic calibration throughout the loading process.

In actual operation, cargo spacing is controlled within 5 mm, ensuring neat and aligned placement without deviation, while maintaining a safe distance from the truck sidewalls. This achieves both compact loading and transportation safety.

The system is also equipped with multiple safety and verification functions, including vehicle/container safety status detection, identification of pad placement zones for stepped trailers, and abnormal condition alerts. Barcode-based verification and data logging ensure full traceability and visibility of the loading process.

In case of exceptions, the system supports manual intervention and is equipped with safety fencing and light curtains to ensure reliable and safe on-site operation.

■ Flexible Deployment for Diverse Scenarios

To accommodate different transportation modes, SC-Solar provides two application solutions:

Flatbed Truck Auto Loading System:
Applicable to flatbed trucks, stepped flatbed trucks, and stake trucks (with removable side rails). Compatible with truck bed widths of 2100–3000 mm, lengths of 9600–17800 mm, and heights from the ground of 800–1650 mm. Modules are loaded sequentially from front to rear, with a full truck loading cycle of approximately 18 minutes.

Container Truck Auto Loading System:
Designed for 20-ft standard containers and 40-ft high-cube containers. The system can automatically correct vehicle positioning within a maximum parking deviation of 100 mm and supports efficient loading in stacks of up to 10 pallets, achieving a full loading cycle of approximately 10 minutes per truck.

The SC-Solar Auto Truck Loading System adopts a modular design, allowing flexible deployment based on plant layout. It also supports integration with WMS/MES systems, enabling data connectivity and coordinated management from production to shipment.

By incorporating the loading process into an automated system, the SC-Solar Auto Truck Loading System further enhances the end-to-end solution from production to logistics, providing strong support for stable delivery and refined management.

Looking ahead, SC-Solar will continue to expand intelligent capabilities across more production and logistics processes—making operations more efficient and controllable, and making photovoltaic manufacturing easier.
